Arcadis is a global design, engineering and consultancy firm for natural and built assets.
My role
Senior Product Designer leading end-to-end design across the EDA platform.
The product
Enterprise Decision Analytics helps asset-intensive organisations turn fragmented asset data into investment plans that can be defended to regulators and boards.
It is a suite of connected products spanning asset data, deterioration modelling, scenario optimisation and portfolio planning.
How I work across the platform
Defining the end-to-end experience. I brought product, engineering and design teams together to establish a shared model of how users move through the platform.
Connecting design and architecture. I run a working series with platform architects to align the system's data model with the interface and user journeys.
Raising the design bar. I lead recurring design critiques across EDA and support designers working on adjacent modules.
What I own directly
I lead the design of portfolio optimisation and asset scenarios: complex workflows where users define objectives and constraints, run optimisation models and evaluate the results.
This is also where I work directly in the production code, designing and building the front end together with the engineering team.
